Did you know that Orbital Eye’s core technology for detecting relevant activities in SAR satellite data has applications far beyond pipeline monitoring?
One example is Terravisie, an Earth Observation (EO)-based monitoring solution developed to monitor large-scale earthworks at a national level and help detect malpractice and environmental crime.
Orbital Eye is part of the consortium behind this service, together with 52impact, Sobolt, and Science [&] Technology. Within the consortium, Orbital Eye applies its radar technology to identify locations where significant earth or raw material movement is taking place. These locations are then further assessed by the other consortium partners, who provide additional insight into the type of material involved and the estimated volume.
Terravisie is a strong example of what can be achieved when specialist companies combine their expertise to develop an innovative and impactful solution.
