Enagás is taking a major step in how its pipeline network is monitored, expanding its collaboration with us to cover operations across all of Spain.
The deployment spans more than 9,000 kilometres of pipelines and marks the first use of satellite monitoring at national scale by a European pipeline operator. This represents a clear milestone for the industry.
Following several years of pilot campaigns and real-world validation, the technology is now fully integrated into day-to-day operations. With COSMIC-EYE in place, monitoring becomes more continuous and responsive, improving visibility of third-party activities, geohazards, and other potential risks along the network.
This shift from pilot projects to full national deployment signals a broader transformation in the sector, as satellite-based monitoring becomes a core part of managing critical infrastructure at scale.
