This month, we have started another project with GRTgaz (NaTran), where we will be monitoring GRTgaz’ (NaTran) pipeline network in Paris. Since there is a lot of traffic in Paris, it takes field inspectors a lot of time to monitor the pipeline for Third-Party-Interferences. With our monitoring solution, the inspectors will now be alerted when an activity starts close to the pipeline, and they can inspect the activity by analysing the high-resolution optical imagery. This way, they can inspect the pipeline corridor from the office, and only need to go into the field when an activity needs to be checked on-site or in case an intervention is needed.
In 2021, Orbital Eye successfully demonstrated the COSMIC-EYE monitoring technology on a rural part of GRTgaz’ (NaTran) network. We are looking forward to now also demonstrating our capabilities in the most urban part of France!
